• Question: Are there other jobs in science that you would ever want to move to?

      I would love to be an astronaut- but my lack of Russian and travel sickness would stop that dream I think.

      I really enjoy my job, but yes I could also see myself working in other kinds of scientific jobs. Mainly because a lot of them use the same skills.

      I enjoy learning about space, so something in astrophysics would be fun. Or perhaps one day I might stop working in research at a university and work for public health England instead. I think I would enjoy that.

      I might like to move to more exclusively scientific advice to policymakers – I thought Geneva and the World Health Organization were very appealing, but I wouldn’t want to move before my sons were out of school. (And then there is my husband to convince…)
