This can be really tricky. There were some people in West Africa who initially didn’t believe that Ebola was real. You can’t just say “You’re wrong. Listen to me!” A lot of work was put into public education and getting informed local people to spread the word. People may be suspicious of outsiders so getting local opinion leaders onside can make a big difference.
