  Barry Marshall – read about him here. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/4304290.stm He infected himself with a particular bacterium to prove it caused stomach ulcers. That guy thinks outside the box! Also I met him at Imperial College – was a very nice guy as well.
