      No, not at all. Science is amazing. It is how we learn about the world around us, and discover new things. Even when you don’t work in science, learning a scientific discipline teaches you to critically question the information you are given, and reach a conclusion based on the evidence available. This is valuable in everything from buying a new car, to deciding who to vote for in a general election.
