• Question: what do you mean by killing?

      Hello, if you mean in the statement: ‘A lot of insect handling and killing.’
      1. Then mainly a lot of my experiments need me to extract stuff (like DNA) from the insects. The only way to easily do that is by smushing them to make a insect ‘soup’ before doing work with.
      2. Also the insects are not allowed to leave the building, as they are a threat to UK, and if they get out they can breed and cause a lot of problems with the nations food supply. So they need to often be killed after I have experimented on them.
