It is never done. There is always something new to question, a way to challenge something old, a novel way to apply an old theory or technology, and better way to prove something. It is like a game with endless levels.

I get to learn new things and doing infectious disease epidemiology, I get to help people and animals at the same time.

Some added extras are working with cool, smart people and travel (Brazil, Colombia, Australia, Singapore, Kenya, Tanzania, Tunisia, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Hawaii, South Korea, …).

A couple of things are my faves: Science, and my job in particular, helps people. I like that.

I also find science fascinating, I really enjoy learning new things.

And the fact that it is global, I can work with people from all over the world. I enjoy that aspect of it.
