I enjoyed art- it was the complete opposite to the science lessons I had, and I enjoyed being creative.
To be honest, I didn’t get the results I wanted in A-level Biology and Chemistry, however my first university choice accepted me. I ended up doing well in university as the exams suited my style- essay style questions instead of one word answers.
I did best in maths and biology. I found English literature the most challenging.
I got a really bad mark on one of my university maths classes – the lecturer was very unsympathetic and when I asked a question (during a problem session designed for student questions), before he answered it he commented (in front of everyone) that the answer “was obvious”. You can imagine how that made me feel!
