I’d like to get some leaflets printed to give to patients and their relatives to help them understand about antibiotic resistance and why their doctors have chosen certain antibiotics for them, or maybe why antibiotics aren’t the right choice for their illness.

I’d like to set up the capability to have science chats like we do in the epidemic zone with school children in Tanzania, Thailand and Colombia (all places I have worked recently). I’d also give them mini guest lectures and encourage them to do their own experiments.

I’d like to make day-in-the-life videos of different mathematicians. Before I went to uni I had no idea what I could do afterwards with a maths degree. I spent lots of time trying to figure out what jobs I could do, and what people actually did all day in these jobs. Now I know lots of people that did maths at uni and do all sorts of different interesting things. I think these videos would help any of you guys who are good at maths, and are thinking about maybe doing it at uni. Mathematician is such a mysterious word I think! And it shouldn’t be that way.
