Definitely.
It brings together lots of skills – mathematical, biological, medical, social – depends on exactly what sort of epidemiology.
You might like to go out into ‘the field’ to investigate outbreaks among the population affected.
You might like to analyse data on a computer – and that can happen anywhere. I am writing this on my bus ride home.
You can test the genotypes of virus samples from different patient and use those data to understand who infected whom.
There are so many opportunities.
