As a kid, I competed in cake decorating and now I bake with one of my sons. Indeed now he (at 11) bakes lots of things without any help at all. We all like to watch Bake Off.

I think every does, right?
Hidden talent: I could save your life if you were drowning! I was actually a qualified lifeguard around the age of 20 (but if you don’t carry on training the qualification expires, which is what happened to me when I started my phd).
Secret obsession (although not so secret any more!): I don’t like my food to get too mixed. Especially flavours that I don’t think should go together! Those all you can eat style buffets are the worst because everyone ends up putting strange food combinations together on one plate! Noooo!

I’ve recently been obsessed with rewatching the old TV shows that I’d watch as a kid. My secret obsession is musical theatre and musicals though!

It’s funny, Liz. I did lifeguarding too when I was in high school and undergraduate – also worked as a swim teacher in the summers. Forgot about that!
