  If an individual wants an HIV test at any time, these are available to them – often easiest to access via sexual health services. Some offer point of care testing, where you get a result there and then.
  
  I do not see why a plan to get married would influence why an individual would need an HIV test and I cannot see why mandatory testing would be ethically justifiable in this situation.
